Caryssa has been a student of yoga since 2012, but was influenced by yoga philosophy from a young age by her Grandma. When she first started practicing, yoga served as a way to calm her mind, reduce anxiety, and ease daily stress. After six years of practice, her yoga evolved into much more than just improving her mental health. Yoga not only served her body and mind, it also brought with it a loving community and her destined path of teaching the blessing of yoga to others. The opportunity to teach came in 2017 and to her surprise, she found that it was the path she had been searching for all along! Caryssa earned her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification from Ra Yoga. Caryssa’s teaching style is relaxing and healing, with elements of strengthening for a physical and mental challenge. She strongly encourages taking time for yourself to nourish your mind, body and soul. Off the mat, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, her partner and being a Cat Mama to their two kittens!
