Meng Zhao

Meng (pronounced “Mung”☺) Zhao Bio I first found yoga in 2012, when life was chaos and I was desperately looking for something that could bring a positive outlook in my life. I had no idea what to expect when I stepped into my first ever yoga class; little did I know, that one hour yoga practice would influence the rest of my life! I was immediately hooked on yoga; my body felt so great, my mind was refreshed, and my spirit was lifted! My intuition told me that I needed to become a yoga instructor one day, so I could spread the joy of yoga with others. Shortly after moving to California, I completed my RYT 200, as well as finished the 50 hours yoga education extension program at CorePower Yoga. I love helping my students connect their body, mind, and spirit through my fun and intentional classes. I like to place emphasis on the connection between the human anatomy and the asanas, and there will always be “play time” during class! Meng has a background in Communication Studies and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education at Chapman University. Meng’s two biggest passions are yoga and education--what is a better way to combine the two in one, other than teaching yoga? ☺
